It is based on the Open eBook standard using XHTML and can incorporate JavaScript and frames. The MOBI format is widely used on e-book readers, particularly on Kindle devices.
Technical details	🔵 The Mobi files can be formatted in Javascript. Pages, notes, and drawings can be attached to the files. Additionally, the Mobipocket Reader includes a built-in dictionary. There is a 64K limit on images. Despite being cumbersome for larger devices such as desktops and laptops, it has proven to be advantageous for smaller devices like mobile phones. Mobi files are similar to the Amazon Kindle format, but do not have Java capabilities.
