Description | EPS is a convenient file format for transferring text and image files. Publishers often use EPS files because they are compatible with all operating systems. Graphics can be included in PostScript files and low-resolution image previews can be sent and received within documents. |
Technical details | You can use this file to layout the page. It’s possible with rendering the file’s PostScript or even without doing the rendering. A comment of BoundingBox DSC is present in the EPS file. The comment provides information related to the containing image within the file. The comments of BounidngBox define the file size and resolution. WMF or TIFF files may be the file previews; in that case, they begin with the 4 bytes having C5 D0 D3 C6 as the characters. In this way, the character group looks like “Adobe”. Other files are starting with [%!PS-Adobe-a.b EPSF-c.d]. Here, the lowercase letters are usually single-digit numbers. |
